On election day, Sunday 20 May, voting centers across the country will open at 6am and close at 6pm and the first bulletin with preliminary results will be issued before 9pm, according to chief electoral justice Roberto Rosario.
The election is for President for which there are six candidates, vice president and seven overseas deputies with 81 candidates.
The electoral roll has 6,502,968 Dominicans over the age of 18, of whom 328,649 can vote overseas.
There are 14,470 voting tables including 605 abroad. A total of 24 political parties are represented.
