Research company Bendixen & Amandi say that their latest poll confirms that Hipolito Mejia (PRD) had a seven-point advantage over Danilo Medina (PLD) with 52% compared to 45%.
Sergio Bendixen, the owner of the research company, said the survey was carried out from 13 to 16 May with 1200 people nationwide in the form of a mock election, where the participants used voting papers and a voting box, with a margin of error of 3%.
Although he did not give statistics for each region, he said that Medina had a slight advantage in the capital, but that Mejia was ahead in the interior of the country, especially in the Cibao region where he was 10% ahead of his rival, as reported in Nuevo Diario.
