More than 20 people with suspected cholera symptoms have been aPLDitted to the public hospital in Tamboril, reports El Nuevo Diario. A few weeks ago 10 people died of the disease there.
As on the previous occasion, most of those affected live in the areas of Arenazo, Canca la Hoya, Canca la Piedra and other areas where the disease was reported first time round.
Samples have been sent for laboratory testing to confirm the nature of this outbreak.
Since April to date, 1,478 people with cholera symptoms have been treated in the province of Santiago.
