National District prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso has ordered the release of Jose Angel Gomez, son of TV journalist Guillermo Gomez, who was arrested due to his links with two people suspected of meddling with the online network of the Central Electoral Board (JCE). Reynoso said that his release does not mean the investigation into the case has ended, as reported in Diario Libre. She said that Gomez needed to be available for further questioning as required. Gomez was arrested on Sunday 20 May.
