The Central Electoral Board (JCE) reports that the process of organizing and holding the presidential elections and for choosing the seven overseas deputies who will represent the Diaspora in the National Congress has been satisfactory. Incidents linked with the appointment of the members of local election boards were reportedly the only administrative issues on the election program that was not finished by the established date. The legal deadline was 5 May. However, several members of the 14,470 polling stations (election booths) resigned their appointments and had to be replaced.

Roberto Rosario, presiding judge of the JCE, told Diario Libre that the institution delivered the election supplies, the equipment and the required services for the local voting stations to carry out their jobs well ahead of schedule. He also said that the tenders for goods and services needed for the elections were also concluded on time, despite having to resort to the services of the Armed Forces when the National Transport Federation (Fenatrado) threatened to strike.

According to statements from the delegates of the political parties, all this went off normally, and the process of distributing the election materials ended satisfactorily. A preliminary report on two audits by specialists from the Organization of American States (OAS) revealed that the Voter Registration Rolls and the Computer Center were at least 98% "totally trustworthy."
