According to a press release from President-elect Danilo Medina, teams from the PLD party have been instructed to remove all his political propaganda for the recent election campaign throughout the whole country.
Teams with trucks, ladders and other equipment will be sent out to remove all of the posters and other materials as soon as possible. This task is usually the responsibility of the local authorities but this year they do not have the financial resources. For this reason, this time the PLD party will take care of removing all signs for the first time.
According to the press release the clean up will start on the Duarte Highway and will take around two weeks to cover the whole country, as reported in El Nuevo Diario.
