BanReservas has delivered 19,299 books to 108 libraries as part of its Support National Libraries program launched last August under the slogan: "A country that reads, is a country that makes progress".

In a press release the bank sets out the objective of the project as "the democratization of knowledge by donating books to libraries on history, economics, politics, sociology, literature and essays."

Some of the libraries that have received donations are: Dominican Republic Child and Youth, Spanish Cultural Center, Dominican History Academy, Don Bosco College, Infotep, Jose A. Caro Alvarez, the Museum of Dominican Man, Jarabacoa Environmental School, and the municipal high schools of Galvan and Villa Jaragua, in Bahoruco, plus the Central Library of the municipality of San Jose de las Matas.

The books were handed over by the deputy administrator of BanReservas, Eros Caamano, communications and marketing director general Orion Mejia, public relations director Salvador Tavarez and head of culture Juan Freddy Armando.
