Johnny Rockets opens in Santo Domingo

A first for Johnny Rockets, the "All American classic" restaurant chain has recently opened in the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo at the corner of Abraham Lincoln and Bolivar avenues. It is being franchised by Axel Hache and his brother, and promises to be the first of five Johnny Rockets restaurants they plan to open in the country. The first branch, described as the plushest of the franchise anywhere, has been operating with waiting lines as Dominican patrons check it out. The restaurant sells "American food," or hamburgers, sandwiches, shakes and malts.
