The Weather Department (Onamet) warns that hot temperatures up to 36 degrees in some areas of the country will continue. The provinces with the hottest temperatures are La Vega, Santiago Rodriguez, Puerto Plata and the cities of Jimani and Valverde (Mao), as reported in Hoy. Temperatures are expected to drop on Tuesday, 12 June with the arrival of rainstorms caused by a tropical wave.
For Santo Domingo, temperatures of 22-33C are reported, Santiago 22-35C, La Romana 20-33C, Santiago 21-33C, and Puerto Plata 21-34C.
