On yesterday, 14 June, President Leonel Fernandez inaugurated 14 water projects in the northwestern provinces of Montecristi, Santiago Rodriguez and Valverde that will benefit 125,000 people. He also attended the inaugural of a school. The Presidency says the projects are a RD$694 million capital investment.
The water systems were built or repaired by the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewage (INAPA) and are situated in the municipalities of Guayubin; Villa Vasquez, San Fernando and Hatillo Palma in Monte Cristi. Also in Moncion, Santiago Rodriguez, Esperanza and Mao, Valverde.
The school is located in Esperanza in the province of Valverde, Mao and will be attended by nearly 500 students.
