The Ministry of Education (MINERD) has announced that the National Standardized Tests will be taken by 303,716 students for the basic and intermediate levels and will start on Tuesday 19 June. From 19 to 22 June there will be the basic level exams (eighth grade and third cycle of adult education) and from 26 to 29 June the intermediate level as well as the general professional technical discipline. There are 142,382 students for the eighth grade, 29,975 adults, 114,032 intermediate and 17,327 intermediate vocational school candidates.

In a communication issued by the Ministry of Education, they state that the National Tests are an important tool to evaluate the level of student learning and provide insights into the quality of the educational system. The Ministry of Education said that year there were no problems and that the results were ready on time. High school graduates need to present passed test scores to be admitted to higher education.
