All Star Game will be a Dominican showcase

Several Dominican ballplayers are dominating the voting for the Major League All Star Game 2012 to be played in Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City on 10 July. According to Hoy's Franklin Mirabal, in the American League it appears that four of the nine players in the starting line-up will be Dominicans: David Ortiz, DH; Robinson Cano, 2nd base; Adrian Beltre, 3rd base, and Jose Bautista, left field. The players are from the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays respectively. With the selection of the starting pitchers, the relievers and the reserves, it is possible that at least 15 Dominicans will see action for the American League.
