Indomina, the leading filmmaking media company in the Dominican Republic, is working on its first film. Movies.ie announces that Sean Astin ('The Lord of the Rings,' 'The Goonies'), Brando Eaton ('American Horror Story,' 'Dexter') and Ben Hollingsworth ('Suits,' 'The Joneses') are set to lead 'Cabin Fever: Patient Zero,' a prequel to Eli Roth's 2002 horror film that will reveal the origin of the horrifying flesh-eating virus.

Directed by Kaare Andrews ('Altitude'), the movie is about a bachelor party cruise in the Caribbean that unexpectedly runs ashore on a medical research island, where a deadly virus is unleashed. The passengers must struggle to find a way to survive before their own demons and the flesh-eating bacteria consumes them all.

Production is scheduled to begin on 13 August. As reported in Movie News, the plan is to segue the film into a second sequel, 'Cabin Fever: Outbreak.'

Original 'Cabin Fever' producer Evan Astrowsky is on board to produce the film along with Indomina staff.
