The Ministry for Public Health has announced a new strategy aimed at encouraging people to donate blood in Santiago province and the Cibao region.
The Ministry said that the strategy would start with the regional centers of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) with the objective of motivating the public to give blood voluntarily.
Health Minister, Bautista Rojas Gomez, said that the first team would be established in the Cibao, coordinated by the National Director of Blood Banks, Socrates Sosa and supervised by the directors and managers of laboratories, blood banks and diagnostic centers in the region.
