Parts of the National District will have their water cut off today when CAASD (the Santo Domingo Corporation for Aqueducts and Sewers) starts work to change two valves in the system near the Avs. 27 Febrero and Tiradentes intersection.
The affected areas are Miraflores, San Juan Bosco, Plaza de la Cultura, Respaldo Aguedita, Gazcue, Ensanche Lugo, La Primavera, Ciudad Nueva, San Carlos and Villa Francisca.
In addition, Borojol, Atarazana, San Miguel, the Colonial Zone, Santa Barbara, San Anton, el Huacal, the National Police Palace, Government Offices, the Padre Billini Hospital and El Vergel will be affected.
Other areas likely to experience interruptions in their water supply are: Los Prados, Ensanche Paraiso, Naco, La Esperilla, Serralles, Las Praderas, La Castellana, Ciudad Moderna, Lope de Vega, Yolanda Morales, Carmelita and the Armed Forces Hospital.
CAASD director Freddy Perez said that he would ask the workers to complete the repairs as quickly as possible.
