Fuel prices dropped this Friday 29 June, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce reports. This is the fourth consecutive price cut authorized by the Ministry, which posts weekly price updates on Friday. While a law establishes a method for calculating the prices, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce does not always adhere strictly to the law that pegs the cost of fuel here to set indicators abroad.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announces that for the week 30 June to 6 July, premium gasoline will cost RD$221.90 a gallon, or RD$2.10 per gallon less. Regular gasoline will cost RD$205.10, for a cut of RD$2.30 per gallon. Premium diesel will cost RD$196.80 for a RD$2.30 decline and regular diesel will cost RD$190.10, or another RD$2.30 decrease.

Avtur is now priced at RD$153.99, a reduction of RD$2.14, and fuel oil sells for RD$135.64, or RD$2.38 less. Propane will cost RD$91.60, down RD$2.30 and natural gas sells for RD$25 per cubic meter, the same as before.
