The water supply crisis continues to worsen in Santiago due to the low levels of the reservoir at Tavera-Bao. This has forced the authorities to introduce a rationing program. According to the Santiago Water and Sewer Corporation (Coraasan), the demand for water in the province is 130 million gallons of water per day, while the production of good water is at 103 million gallons of water, representing a deficit of 27 million gallons of water per day.

Coraasan reported that water supplies to several sectors of the city would be cut off today, Tuesday 3 July due to maintenance work and repairs to broken pipes. The intake of the aqueduct in Pastor will undergo repairs between 6am and 6pm. The affected sectors include Bella Vista, Reparto Peralta, La Otra Banda, Pastor, La Herradura, Antonio Guzman Avenue and La Loteria and Invivienda.
