On Saturday June 30 three Dominicans were killed in a traffic accident in Miami. The victims have been identified as Esther Terrero de Diaz, 53, her daughter Adriana Maria Diaz, 13 and her grandson Franklin Abraham Diaz, 14.
Also injured were Magdeline Esther Diaz aged 10, who is in the Jackson Memorial hospital. The accident occurred near the new Marlins baseball stadium, where they had been watching a game. They were walking back to their car when they were hit by a van, whose driver was also killed in the accident. Preliminary investigations show that the van driver lost control and his vehicle left the road. It is suspected that he had a heart attack.
Abraham Diaz Mejia, husband of the deceased, was slightly injured in the accident. He comes from San Cristobal but the family has been living in Bonao for many years. He says that he will bring the bodies of his wife and daughter back to Bonao for burial, whereas his grandson will be buried in Georgia, where his son lives.
