Love and kisses for Al Horford at the Caracas Qualifier

The Dominican Republic basketball team is fighting for one of the three slots to the Olympics that are at stake at the Caracas World Basketball Qualifier. In the closely contested game that the Dominicans eventually won 95-85 to South Korea, El Caribe focused on the loving support the Dominican Republic's only Miss Universe Amelia Vega showed for her husband, NBA Atlanta Hawks' Al Horford. Amelia Vega had her husband's number painted on her cheek and sent many kisses to her husband throughout the game. In the game yesterday, Horford scored 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the team to a first victory. The DR plays Russia at 1:30pm today, but regardless of the outcome of that game, both teams are headed to the quarterfinals. The top three teams in the tournament qualify for the Games.
