The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Milk Cluster, working together with State Standards Agency Digenor and the Ministry of Public Health, have set up five milk processing plants in the province of Dajabon. The project is part of a larger USAID program called "Improvement of Quality of Raw Materials for Cheese and Yogurt Production" and is being implemented together with local associations. The milk stations were installed in Clavellina, Partido, La Vegia and Sabana Larga in the province of Dajabon. A total of 56 employees received additional training in the new equipment.
