President-elect Danilo Medina left on Thursday on the 6:50pm Avianca flight for Bogota. In Bogota he will be meeting with President Juan Manuel Santos at the Palacio de Narino. Medina's office reports that on the agenda are discussions regarding security, energy, education, development and investment.
Medina traveled with businessman Jose Miguel Gonzalez, and transition team members Jose Singer, Jose Ramon Peralta, Donald Guerrero, Santo Domingo Este mayor Juan de los Santos, and Medina's personal assistant Carlos Pared Perez.
On Monday, Medina is scheduled to travel to Brazil for meetings with President Dilma Rousseff.
