14 men armed with rifles and guns robbed Unipollo in Manga Larga, La Vega province. Unipollo spokesmen Ambiorix Cabrera and Jochy Polanco told the press RD$4 million in cash and checks and a pickup was taken after they tied the two watchmen at the business. The Regional Central Cibao police reported that the robbers left the premises of the industry with an empty safety box and a rifle. Spokesman for the police of Santiago, Colonel Lorenzo Morillo told Diario Libre they had identified two of the robbers.
