The National Department for Persecution of Administrative Corruption (DPCA, formerly Depreco) has presented formal charges of fraud against nine former officials of the Teachers Medical Insurance. They are accused of mishandling RD$540 million. The accused include deputy minister of Education and former president of the Board of Directors of the ARS-SEMMA Francisco Cruz Pascual, former executive director Glauco Gonzalez Jimenez and former medical director of ARS-SEMMA Fernando Adriano Conde Modesto. All are accused of corruption, fraud, bribery, and criminal association.
