With slugger Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays batting fourth for the American League, a group of eight Dominicans will take part today, 10 July in this year's Major League All Star Game, in Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. The National League will field Melky Cabrera from the San Francisco Giants and Rafael Furcal from the St. Louis Cardinals in the opening lineup. The American League will have Dominicans Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees, David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox, Jose Bautista from the Toronto Blue Jays and Adrian Beltre from the Texas Rangers in their starting lineup. Pitcher Fernando Rodney from the Tampa Bay Rays is also an All Star.
