An earthquake of 4.2 on the Richter scale was felt this morning at 5:11am in the capital and eastern provinces, although so far no damage has been reported.
According to the Seismology Institute at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) the epicenter was 24 kilometers northwest of Hato Mayor and 24 kilometers north west of San Pedro de Macoris
