The Minister of Education joined representatives of educational organizations and business and community leaders in Punta Cana yesterday, Wednesday July 11 to identify the educational needs of the region. She noted that four new schools were required in the areas of Punta Cana and Veron.
According to Hoy reporter Rosa Alcantara, Minister Josefina Pimentel said: "The dialogue with the directors of the PuntaCana Foundation has allowed us to focus on the real needs that the area has in terms of the growing school population." Grupo PuntaCana recently announced the construction of the Oscar de la Renta Public School, with support from the company, in the town of Veron.
