The Ministry of Culture is inviting the general public to take part in a discussion on the work of Elsa Nunez on Thursday, 12 July. Her work is currently on show in an exhibition: Elsa Nunez: Retrospective 1962-2012. Critics Abil Peralta Aguero, Amable Lopez Melendez and Laura Gil will be discussing her work as of 7:30pm at the MAM auditorium. The exhibition of 130 paintings is open to the general public on the second floor of the MAM. Born in Santo Domingo, the artist studied philosophy at the UASD, art at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and completed post graduate studies in art from the Academia de San Fernando and Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.
