Yesterday, Tuesday 17 July, President Leonel Fernandez inaugurated various public works in Azua and the south, including schools, a sports complex and two aqueducts, costing taxpayers RD$277 million. He was accompanied by the Minister for the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Virgilio Perez Felix, Senator Rafael Calderon, Minister for Women Alejandrina German, Minister for Sport Felipe Payano.
