The Ministry of Education is making preparations for the next school year for 2012-2013 that begins on 20 August 20 nationwide.
At the same time shops are already advertising sales on uniforms, books, back packs, and other school supplies.
The Ministry of Education is pressed to complete the necessary repairs and renovations at schools nationwide.
The Ministry says that repairs are almost completed at the Republic of Argentina school, the Institute for Young Women Salome Urena, the primary school and high school La Union in Santo Domingo East and a polytechnic in Consuelo, in San Pedro de Macoris.
