Stupidity blacks out much of the south

It must have been some really stupid vandals who set fire to a power line post in San Juan de la Maguana and blacked out much of the southwestern region. According to El Caribe, the blackouts affected San Juan, Elias Pina and Las Matas de Farfan as the burnt post knocked out the 69KV line that supplies the region. The Dominican Electricity Transmission Company (ETED) described the fire as "sabotage".
