Judge Jose Alexandro Vargas of the National District has sentenced Jose Angel Gomez Canaan (Jochi), accused of extortion, identity theft and hacking 44 email accounts, to three months in remand in Najayo jail, to be reviewed on October 11.
Gomez Canaan said that he was calm and would wait to see what his lawyers did, while his father, the journalist Guillermo Gomez said that he would appeal the decision and that he and his family believed Jochi to be innocent and wanted to believe in Dominican justice.
