The premiere of Batman, The Dark Night Rises, in the Dominican Republic is tonight and the film opens as of Wednesday in movie houses nationwide.
Dominicans are still in awe over the senselessness of the tragedy at the Colorado movie complex when a gunman struck when viewers were engrossed in the midnight screening of the film. Wearing a bulletproof vest and a gas mask, 24-year old James Holmes "just appeared" at the front of the cinema, released a gas canister and opened fire at viewers who at first thought it was part of the show, with a 12 people killed and another 50 injured.
