Six die in Santiago car accident

A tragic accident on Saturday at Calle Hugo Eduardo Polanco of the Villa Olga neighborhood in the southeast of Santiago ended in the death of six, including a four year old child. As reported in Listin Diario, the occupants were identified as Romel Linda Espinal, 63; Elba Espinal, 60; Victor Antonio Risso, 70 and his wife Carmen Risso; Doris Espinal, 40, and Mia de los Angeles, 4 years old. The car crashed into a light post and then went up in a strong blaze. The occupants burned to death. Listin reports that four of those who died were residents in Villa Olga and they were headed to Cotui to spend the weekend. The newspaper reports that three of the victims had come from the US to spend their vacations.
