Here's the process again:

1. On any screen, Click on "Hosted Images" on the top bar(next to Yellow pages) and a new window opens. (You can also click on "Community" on the third message bar from the top, then select "albums" and it will take you to the same page)

2. If you don't have an album, create one. You have to have an album to upload pics.

3. Click on your new album( or any album)

4. Click on "upload pictures" and a new window opens

5. Select "add files" at the top right corner- a new box opens(the upload box)

6. At the top of that box, look for the upload pictures from your computer/website selection. If you are going to add a picture from your computer, go to the next step. If you are going to get a picture from the internet, select "Website" then enter the URL of the picture in the box that opens.

7. For pics on your computer, click "select files" at the bottom of the upload box, then go get your pictures.

8. Once you select your file(or files), click on "upload files"

9. You'll see the file upload progress, then the file you uploaded will appear in the previous window at the bottom, under "attachments"

You're not done yet. (If you only go this far, you will get the file not permitted message)

10. Underneath the file you uploaded that is now in the Attachment window, you see a box that says "select all" at bottom left - check that. A check will appear there, and in the box next to the pic(s) you uploaded.

11. At the bottom far right, click on the "Done" button.

12. That will take you to the album page.

13. click on the "save changes" button (far left middle)

14. Your new pics will show up in your album.

15. Click on the pic you want, then when it opens, cut and paste the BB code like you always do.

Read the instructions out loud, one at a time, and do it. Don't advance until you've done the previous instruction.

Do that a couple of times, and you'll be uploading as easily as the rest of us. .

That's great - thanks.

Is it possible to move photos out of the old VB Image Host into new albums in the new system?

Why would you want to?

You could download them then upload again, I guess.

me = confused :(

first you upload pictures in "File Upload Manager - Manage all files that you have uploaded" and then you add them to albums, right?
can you delete them afterwards? how can you delete them in the file upload manager?
do you also use a folder structure in the file upload manager that match the albums?

After Don Thomas upgraded, uploading is easy. You can just go into the album you want to upload into and the pic goes into that album automatically, if you're creating a new album, make sure to upload at least 1 pic. You can now move pics from one album to another as well, and yes you can also delete them by
clicking on the pic you want to delete, then click on edit photo, choose the delete option and save changes.

but how do you delete pictures in the file upload manager?
it says "Uploads not utilized within one hour will be deleted" but that's not true and I can't manually delete them.

Sure you can. click on pic, select (edit photo) check the (delete photo) option and then click on save changes. Doesn't always show you it's deleted but it is,
it may just show up because your browser remembers it.

Ahhh, I see what you did, you clicked on upload and added files but never finished by clicking on (done). In that case, I'm not sure how to delete them, but just follow thru and
add them to the album and delete after.

do you also have every single picture that you ever uploaded in your file upload manager?

I just checked, and yes, everything I ever uploaded is still stored there. Interesting, I was unaware of that, even something you delete from your album still shows up there. May be something to be addressed with DT.
