Minister for Public Health Bautista Rojas Gomez has announced that three more transplants have been carried out at the Center for Heart and Neuro-Ophthalmology and Transplants (CECANOT). One brings relief to a patient suffering from chronic kidney failure and two more benefit patients with vision problems. The two patients who had cornea transplants last week have been sent home.
Rojas Gomez pointed out that over the past week eight transplants have been carried out, a landmark of extraordinary importance in the history of medicine in the Dominican Republic.
He congratulated the team at CECANOT for their work.
