Expect many in the Dominican Republic to be tuned in to Coral TV (Channel 8 on Telecable Nacional) and 39 in Santiago Cable TV as Luguelin Santos goes for gold in the 400m dash on Monday, 6 August at 4:30pm, Dominican time.
Along with four others from the Caribbean, he qualified with a time of 44.78. Others from the region are: Lalonde Gordon 44.58 (Trinidad & Tobago), Kirani James 44.59 (Grenada), Chris Brown 44.67 (Bahamas), and Demetrius Pinder 44.94 (Bahamas).
The final is set for the Olympic Stadium at 21:30 London time.
Dominicans yet to compete in athletics at the London Olympics are Ildette Lavonne (100m hurdles) and Marielis Sanchez (200m) on Monday, 6 August. Carlos Jorge competes in the 200m on Tuesday, 7 August.
