The plenary session of the Constitutional Court, with Milton Ray Guevara in the chair, heard 11 cases of unconstitutionality in a two-hour session yesterday, Monday 13 August. All of the cases were set aside for more deliberations and will be decided within a day or as long as four months, according to what is established in the Organic Law. Judges Leyda Pina, Lino Vasquez, Victor Joaquin Castellanos, Rafael Diaz Filpo, Ana Isabel Bonilla, Hermogenes Acosta, Wilson Gomez Ramirez, Katia Miguelina Jimenez, Victor Gomez Berges, Idelfonso Reyes and Jottin Cury David were in attendance together with Ray Guevara and other officials.
Jurist Eduardo Jorge Prats, who took part in one of the appeals of unconstitutionality, told Listin Diario that the court only heard the conclusions of the parties, similar to the Supreme Court appeals process.
