The National Council for Citizen Participation has elected Rosalia Sosa Perez as its new executive director. She replaces Javier Cabreja.
Sosa Perez has been an active member of the organization since 2007 and during that time has served on the National Council, the Coordinating Council, the Justice Commission and the Institutional Strengthening Commission.
Her functions will include planning, coordinating and supervising the operational and administrative activities and to act as liaison between the departments of the organization.
Sosa Perez is a lawyer and economist, with a master's degree in National Economic Planning, specializing in Criminal Law, and a doctorate in Law.
She has worked on projects to reform and modernize the law, sponsored by the United Nations Latin American Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (ILANUD), National Center States Courts, Chemonics International and DPK Consulting.
