President Danilo Medina, by means of decree number 455-12, made a series of new appointments within the Armed Forces after his inauguration as President yesterday, Thursday 16 August. In addition to the appointment of Major General Sigfrido Pared Perez as his Armed Forces Minister, others appointed are:
Major General Pedro Antonio Caceres Chestaro becomes Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces, for the Army. Brigade General Gerardo de los Santos Mora was promoted to Major General and becomes Inspector General of the Air Force, General Ruben Dario Paulino Sem was promoted to Major General and chief of staff for the Army, Rear Admiral Edwin Dominici Rosario was promoted to Vice Admiral and chief of staff of the Navy, Brigade General Ramon M. Hernandez y Hernandez was promoted to Major General and chief of staff for the Air Force.
In addition, Rear Admiral Martin L. Medina Ogando was promoted to Vice Admiral and Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces for the Navy, and Colonel Williams Nunez Delgado was promoted to Brigadier General and Head of the National Investigations Department (DNI).
A former Armed Forces Minister, Major General Virgilio Perez Feliz, becomes military adviser to the Executive Committee, Colonel Adams B. Caceres Silvestre was promoted to Brigadier General and Head of the Advisory Body to the President and Colonel Braulio Alcantara Lopez was promoted to Brigadier General and Commander of the First Regiment of the Presidential Guard.
Colonel Leonel A. Munoz Noboa was promoted to Brigadier General and General Controller of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Henry de Jesus Gomez Bueno is Deputy Minister for the Army, Colonel Miguel A. Burgos was promoted to Brigade General and Inspector General of the army, Rear Admiral Felix Alburquerque Compres becomes Deputy Minister for the Navy, Rear Admiral Juan Puig Hernandez was promoted to Brigadier General and Deputy Minister for the Air Force.
Colonel pilot Carlos Torres Robiou was promoted to Brigadier General and Inspector General of the Air Force and Colonel Frener Bello Arias was promoted to Brigadier General and Inspector General of the National Police.
