The Minister of National Security of the Bahamas, Dr. the Hon. Bernard J. Nottage has said that the Government of The Bahamas will look to discuss with government of the Dominican Republic the "long-standing concerns" that exist with Dominican nationals poaching fish in Bahamian waters.
At the same time whilst diplomatic efforts are under way, he gave full authority to the Bahamas defense force to protect their waters.
