Samana city is celebrating the 256th anniversary of its foundation with a show by several leading Dominican bands playing bachata, urban music, fusion and merengue.
The groups include Frank Reyes, Melymel, Krisspy, Shelo Blow, Chicho Severino, Masshisteria, la Materialista, Willi Willi and Marcel. The events began on Thursday and will run through Tuesday, 21 August. The event is being sponsored by the City Government of Samana and its Mayor, Miguel Bezi. Activities are centered on the Malecon of Samana.
