On Friday, 17 August, President Medina swore in Police chief Jose Armando Polanco Gomez, deputy chief Victor Campusano Jimenez, and the director of the National Department of Investigations, William Munoz Delgado. Also the new chief of the Army, Major General Ruben Dario Paulino, Air Force, Major General Ramon Hernandez, and Navy Vice Admiral Edwin Dominici Rosario.
