Minister of Sports Jaime David Fernandez joined the soon-to-be-wed couple, 35-year old Elaine Hernandez (she owns bocatips.com, a food blog) and 36-year old Juan Francisco Conde, owner of the Opcion6 advertising agency. The couple had met on their bicycles in the Mirador del Sur Park in 2010. They decided to tie the knot with a bicycle tour together with all of their friends setting out at 3:30pm on Saturday from the Aro & Pedal bicycle shop on Winston Churchill to the Plaza de Espana in front of the Santo Domingo Alcazar for the ceremony. The groom told Diario Libre they chose to unite all cyclists to encourage bicycle use, which does not pollute and is healthy.
