According to the new Minister of the Presidency, Gustavo Montalvo, the PLD will be replacing many workers with new ones from the rank and file of the party in order to "give the comrades a chance."
He told Hoy reporter Diego Pesqueira that he expects the party comrades who are in the government to understand the situation and to not be upset because "there is a need to give opportunities to other comrades." He said however that there would not be any massive lay-offs.
He said that the dismissals would affect all of the areas of government, adding that this was a natural process when there is a change in administrations.
