Presidency Press Director Roberto Rodriguez Marchena has confirmed that the first meeting of the newly-appointed cabinet will take place at 10am this morning, Wednesday 22 August, chaired by the President, Danilo Medina.
He said that this first meeting would be "a far-reaching event in the history of politics in the Dominican Republic."
In preparation for today's cabinet meeting, last night, Tuesday 21 August President Medina held separate meetings with the Minister of Economy, Planning and Development Temistocles Montas, Presidency Minister Gustavo Montalvo, and others.
