Wind Telecom is adding BBC Worldwide Channels HD channel to its programming. The channel says subscribers to the Wind Telecom HD DVR package will be able to view shows like South American Journey with Jonathan Dimbleby and Football Freestyler with Dan Magness.
"This is an important step for BBC Worldwide and demonstrates the consolidation stage in our signals found in the region," said Guillermo Sierra, senior vice president and general manager for BBC in Latin America and the US Hispanic markets. He said that BBC HD offers viewers in the Dominican Republic "the best of our global programming and gives them access to a wide range of content in more innovative formats on the market, backed by the prestigious seal of quality of the BBC. "
