The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced that the price of all fuel in the internal market should be frozen for the week 25 to 31 August, despite the increase in the cost of crude at the international level.

The prices, issued a day early due to the imminent arrival of tropical storm Isaac, show that a gallon of premium gasoline will stay at RD$233.50 and regular at RD$215.60. Regular diesel will be sold at RD$192.00 a gallon and premium diesel will stay at RD$198.70 a gallon.

Aviation fuel stays at RD$160.68 a gallon and kerosene at RD$185.70. Fuel Oil will cost RD$135.93 a gallon and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) will be sold for RD$88 a gallon.

Natural Gas will cost RD$30.50 a cubic meter, also maintaining the same price.
