President Danilo Medina has confirmed that Vicente Bengoa will continue as general manager of the BanReservas, the government commercial bank and confirmed Claritza de la Rocha as deputy governor of the Central Bank.
President Medina also issued a decree appointing Roberto Rodriguez Marchena and Rafael Ovalles as director and deputy director of the newly created General Communications Department, the office that will speak for the government.
Medina also confirmed Luisa Fernandez as director of the National Council of Free Zones. He appointed Gabriel Castro Gonzalez to the Superintendence of Securities.
Other appointments include Braulio Frias as deputy director of the Immigration Department, Adolfo Cedeno as deputy director of the Department of Supervisory Engineers of Public Works (OISOE) and Niurka Alexandra Carrion as deputy director of the Essential Pharmaceuticals Program (Promese).
