New director of Mining

President Danilo Medina has appointed Alexander Medina as his new director of Mining. He replaces Octavio Lopez. The new director of mining said he would back the present projects under way and will encourage new ones. As reported in Hoy, he highlighted the need to exploit mines as a way of generating resources to benefit the 10 million Dominicans in health, infrastructure and public services in general.
