Lawyer Marino Vinicio Castillo, director general of the newly formed General Department of Ethics and Government Integrity (DGIG) has announced that the entity will be hearing several cases involving employees and public servants who have been dismissed even though they were administrators as opposed to government employees during its first meeting on Friday, 31 August.
He said that they would hear each case to see if the Civil Service and Administrative career laws had been broken at all, and if so would order the reemployment of the public servants.
He went on to say that Friday's meetings had been convened to hear the version from the employees and afterwards they would meet with the heads of the organizations to hear their sides of the stories.
